Q Does this lamp use LED bulbs? Is the bulb protected from the elements (sides of this lamp look open in photo.) Is bulb easy to replace when needed?

 This fixture uses a T-% wedge base bulb.  There is no covering over the bulb.  The bulbs are easily replaceable.
